Help
The questions people ask most, answered first. Then the guides, one topic each.
How do I add my investments?
Open the import and pick the app where you invest. A short video shows where to click there: take a screenshot of your investments or copy the table, then drop it in. You check every line before anything is saved. It takes about a minute.
Do I need to give my broker or bank password?
No. Portfolio Terminal never asks for broker logins or bank credentials. You bring a screenshot, a copied table or a file you exported yourself. Interactive Brokers can also be read with a read-only Flex token, used for that one request and never stored.
My app isn't in the list. Can I still import?
Yes. Pick "Another bank or app", open the page that lists your investments (it is usually called Portfolio, Positions or Holdings), then take a screenshot or copy the table and drop it in. A CSV or Excel export, or a PDF statement, works too.
Why is my performance curve empty?
A positions screen shows what you own today, not when you bought it. Without purchase dates there is no curve and no yearly return. Add your broker's transaction history, a CSV with every purchase, sale and dividend, or type the dates in the review step before you confirm.
What does "a year" next to my return mean?
It is your money-weighted return per year: it counts when each purchase was made, so money added last month does not weigh like money held for five years. With less than a year of history it shows the return so far instead, and under 30 days there is no figure yet.
Is it free?
Yes. The whole portfolio tracker is free, forever. Pro is in development: it finds the money you leave on the table, such as tax losses to harvest and dividend tax withheld abroad, and it will open with seven days free.
Is my portfolio private, and can I delete it?
Your portfolio is never sold, never used for ads and never shared unless you create a share link yourself. With an account, the View menu of your portfolio has "Download all my data" and "Delete my account". Without one, a random guest ID in a cookie keeps your portfolio attached to this browser.
